The Appraisal Review Board is a panel of (Bexar County ) residents assigned to listen to property tax protests that reside in Bexar County. Although we are located in the same building as the Bexar Appraisal District, the Appraisal Review Board is completely independent.
As members of the Appraisal Review Board, we listen to property tax protests from homeowners, home investors, agents, residential, commercial and agriculture. We listen to property tax protests in-person, over-the-phone, tele-conference thru zoom, and from notarized affidavits. Best I can tell, over 98% of the protests I have listened to have received lower property valuations from their efforts. It is really a smart idea to protest your property taxes if you like saving money.
