During my morning walk: Yesterday, between 7am and 8am, I noticed neighbors driving fast through the neighborhood. Most of the drivers seemed young and in a hurry. Too bad every resident doesn’t get a printed monthly newsletter reminding neighbors to “slow down” when driving through the neighborhood and asking parents to remind their adult kids to do the same.
I also found several deposits of dog poop on or near the sidewalk, especially along Forest Spur and Pebble Peak. If reported, violators can be fined up to $500 per city ordinance.
Neighborhood issues that could be mentioned in a neighborhood newsletter are:
- How to stop continuing problem of Dog Owners Not Picking Up After their Dogs.
- How to stop continuing problem of Neighbors driving too fast in neighborhood.
- Reminders for neighbors to turn on porch lights at night, darkness attracts vandals.
- How to get more street lights in the neighborhood.
- Help neighbors know what they should do when:
- When neighbors don’t mow their lawns, or they leave visible trash outside the trash bins.
