Pinata shirts with candies glued on them – safer than batting a pinata
The Pinata Candy Shirt:
I saw this last Easter posted on social media. I thought this might be a fun idea to consider for an Easter day event. Apparently they are easy to make and are fun with the little kids, the teenage kids and even the older kids and adults!
Are you ready for the simple instructions? Here is what you will need: A T-shirt that is the size of someone in your family that will be the “runners”. This can be older teenagers, or young adults.
Buy lots of candy for the shirts. Use a “glue gun” to secure the candy to the shirt. Put a paper grocery bag or poster board inside the shirt to catch any glue that might seep through the shirt.
With your glue gun, glue small amounts onto your candy shirt and then press the candy into the glue which is why you don’t want any chocolate candy! Cover the whole shirt front and back.
That’s it! Now for fun. Give every child that is participating a bag or something to hold their candy. The candy “runner” starts to run, and the kids are let loose to try and catch him and rip off as much candy as they can.
