A police car pulled up in front of Grandma Bessie’s house, and out stepped Grandpa, escorted by a policeman.

The officer kindly explained, “Ma’am, your husband here told me he was lost in the park and needed help getting home.”

“Morris,” Grandma said, shaking her head, “you’ve been going to that park for over 30 years! How could you get lost today?”

Leaning in close so the officer wouldn’t hear, Grandpa whispered, “I wasn’t lost. I was just too tired to walk home.”

Moral: A creative adult is a child that survived.
